I hate stats right now because of effect size and statistical power. This chapter has me confused and according to everyone else who were lost during previous chapters this chapter was easier to understand. Maybe I only understand the harder stuff? Anyway my eyes hurt from attempting to read and complete stats homework so I'm closing the book for the night. I will pick up with it early tommorow morning to see if anything changes and finish my hw before class tommorow. Hopefully since we'll be back to T-testing I'll fall back into place with where I should be. (and for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about with the terms--you're not missing much just that I'm struggling with it is what you sould glean)

Also, I'm still having a hard time with losing my poetry (since I really had no hard copies of newer poetry which I wrote on the compt.) as well as with my fiction. Although, I would not donned them as masterpieces they were still something to me. W.I.P to be something more and it is hard losing something that comes from you, creatively. I try to get others to understand that it's not just about starting over like I can put fingers to the keys and all will be well. They don't do what I do or think how I think so how could they possibly understand what a tremendous blow this was.

My sleeping pattern changed back when I got home. I would not go to sleep until 5a and slept until 2p. Hopefully, now that I'm back, at my dorm, My sleeping pattern will revert back to sleeping (at the latest) at 10p and waking up at 8a. My father wants to get breakfast for his birthday (Friday, March 16th). Not sure How we are going to manage that, seeing as, I have a class at 11a and connections at 1p and Tutoring at 2p. But we'll see how how schedules get, if we can manage then we'll do so. I just know I eat slow. lol. I have to meet with my teacher tommorow to talk about that midterm I failed and whether it will cost me my good grades in that class. Also, I till have that sonnet to do, among other things. My mom keeps getting at me about having a life. She tells me I don't do anything or go out like a normal person my age would. Lol, she wish she had me and be grateful when my bro starts dating. That boy is becomming very socially involved. He's gonna give her headaches. I saw my boys (my cousins) friday as they celebrated my mother's belated birthday. We had cake, which my little cousin Bryce was eying all night, and my grandmother cooked us all dinner. It was nice. And of course, I loved spending time with my boys. I had so much fun with them. Here's to hoping I get some of my work done and I see D this week. :) Other than seeing my little men, I had a boring Spring Break.

I am in the middle of revision for my 1st story for Fiction Writing. I will begin revisions soon for my 2nd story but I wanted to start writing or drafting my 3rd story. So I was wondering if anyone would like to offer me some prompts to start me thinking. Remember this is orginal fiction so no fanfic prompts. If you are interested I'll post my two stories once I revise them a bit. (side note: I love my laptop...especially since I am able to connect to the internet now. It's about time.)Oh and just cuz...I am taking poetry writing next spring. I am excited and nervous aobut that one.

I am so stressed right now especially with my Fiction Writing class. I think I am just over complicating things like usually limiting myself but I feel completely blocked in my writing. I need to relax. I am currently trying to write my 500 word story on the prompt, I would do things like that when... I am asking that my flist post fanfiction or pictures from your fandoms particularly ones that too am involved in but not limited to that. I need a sort of relief and distraction.

Wow...This turned out longer than I expected it would. If you want to read I put the rest under a cut to save my flist. I would love to hear your imput.

I am actually enjoying the women's writer's course I am currently taking. I only took the course because it seems to be the only course that discusses anything to do with diversity/multicultural issues and the authors are all minorities. Before this class, I was already trying to read books by minority authors. Don't get me wrong, I am not narrowing my reading list to just these types of authors but I feel the white male author is so prevalent in all literature courses and required texts for discussion. I enjoy that race is a major issue being discussed and the fact that they're women writers is a plus especially because if I do decide to write fiction (It's something that I'm toying with right now. I'm trying to figure out if that's a direction I want to go. I was and am naturally a poet but keeping the options open) these women would serve as a forefront model in which I may want to keep in the back of my mind when I begin to take writing seriously and begin to write.( Read more... )
